Cycling in Dubai: Your Comprehensive Guide to Tracks and Locations

Nad Al Sheba Cycle Path

Location: Near Meydan racecourse

This converted camel track offers splendid views of Downtown Dubai and the iconic Burj Khalifa. There are three loops to choose from: 4km, 6km, and 8km. Facilities include lockers, air-conditioned changing rooms, and showers. The track is well-lit for night riding. Previously a camel racecourse, some sandy patches remain, but it has been modernized. It's one of the safest cycling tracks in Dubai, with after-dark guiding lights, street signs, roundabouts, anti-skid arches, and other road safety features.

Al Qudra Cycle Track

Location: Al Qudra

Ideal for middle- to long-distance riders, Al Qudra offers various cycling paths. Choose from an 18km path for a shorter ride, or the 50km loop for a more extended journey. For serious cyclists, there are well over 100km of tracks. The routes showcase the stunning desert landscape and pass by the five-star Bab Al Shams resort, where you can take a break for refreshments. Bikes are available for rent near the Al Qudra cycle path. Plan ahead, as this area has limited taxis, and some parts of the track are not illuminated at night.
